SECTION 1 - WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?

When you purchase a solar solution from our portal, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

When you browse our portal, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our portal, new solutions and products as well as other updates.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then our system stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

  • Your providing the information to Luminous and Luminous’s consequent storage, collection, usage, transfer, access or processing of the same shall not be in violation of any third party agreement, laws, charter documents, judgments, orders and decrees.

Luminous and each of Luminous entities their officers, directors, contractors or agents shall not be responsible for the authenticity of the information that you or any other user provide to Luminous. You shall defend indemnify and hold harmless Luminous and each of Luminous’s entities, their officers, directors, contracts or agents and any third party relying on the information provided by you in the event you are in breach of this Privacy Policy including this provision and the immediately preceding provision above.

Your information will primarily be stored in electronic form however certain data can also be stored in physical form. We may store, collect, process and use your data in countries other than Republic of India but under compliance with applicable laws. We may enter into agreements with third parties (in or outside of India) to store or process your information or data. These third parties may have their own security standards to safeguard your information or data and we will on commercial reasonable basis require from such third parties to adopt reasonable security standards to safeguard your information/ data.

Financial information such as bank account details or credit card or debit card or other payment related details are collected at the payment gateway by the payment facilitator.
